Barcelo Aruba — the best-documented children’s provision in our coverage

Why it is here: It publishes a kids club with both an age band (four to twelve) and opening hours (9am to 5pm). Across thirty-four resort records, nothing else publishes both. It also publishes an exact room count of 373.

The catch: Its own page gives two different restaurant counts — six in one place, seven specialty restaurants in another. We have recorded both and treat neither as the count. Check-in is 4pm, an hour later than the regional norm. And the pool provision is a single lake-shaped pool, which is a different proposition from the multi-pool resorts elsewhere.

Who it suits: Families who need to know the childcare works before booking, and travellers who want a quieter, smaller-feeling property.

Riu Palace Aruba — the counted one

Why it is here: Eight restaurants and five bars, both counted. A Junior Suite Ocean View with two bedrooms — a genuine family layout published by name. A casino on site.

The catch: It publishes no kids club at all — no name, no ages, no hours — despite being marketed as a family hotel. No room count, no pool count.

Who it suits: Families who want dining variety and a two-bedroom room, and who do not need organised children’s programming.

Riu Palace Antillas — the adults-only option

Why it is here: The only adults-only all-inclusive we can document on Aruba. Every published room category is a junior suite or suite, with a named Elite Club tier. Casino on site.

The catch: It publishes no minimum age, no room count, no pool count, and no restaurant or bar count. It also shares its published street address with the family hotel above, and the operator does not say how the site divides.

Who it suits: Couples who want suites and a lively strip, and who are willing to ask the two questions the page leaves open.

The pattern across all three

Not one publishes a distance from the airport. Two of the three publish no room count. Two of the three publish nothing usable about children’s ages.

Barcelo Aruba is the outlier in every one of those categories, which is why it leads this list — not because we think it is the nicest, but because it is the one you can actually check.
