The better-documented of the pair

Eight restaurants. Five bars. Both counted, on a page where the adults-only hotel at the same address counts neither.

That is a real advantage when you are planning rather than browsing. Eight restaurants across a week means you are not eating the same dinner twice, and the operator has committed to the number.

The room that makes it a family hotel

A Junior Suite Ocean View with two bedrooms.

Two-bedroom categories are the thing families search for and the thing operators are most vague about. Publishing one as a named category, with a view specified, is the most concretely useful fact on this page.

The rest of the list runs Double Standard, Suite, and junior suites with partial or frontal sea views — a wider grade range than the adults-only hotel next door, which publishes suites only.

The gap that matters for families

There is no kids club age range published. There is no kids club published at all.

This is a hotel marketed as family — the operator uses its own Fun4All designation — and there is nothing on the page about supervised children’s programming, its ages, or its hours. The Costa Rica and Punta Cana properties in this same chain at least name a club. This one does not.

If organised childcare is part of what you are buying, confirm it directly before booking.

Also unpublished

No room count and no pool count, so neither the scale of the resort nor how much water it has can be judged from official information. And, in common with every RIU property we have read, no airport distance for Aruba.

Worth knowing

A casino on site, and 24-hour all-inclusive rather than fixed service hours.

Mandatory costs

The operator does not publish a mandatory fee schedule on its official pages. That is not the same as there being no fee. It means we read the official source and found no figure, so we are not going to state one. Confirm any property charges at the point of booking.

Strengths, and what supports them

  • Eight restaurants counted, the highest published count in our Aruba coverage
    Because: dining.restaurant_count
  • Publishes a two-bedroom ocean-view junior suite, which is a genuine family layout
    Because: rooms.categories
  • Counts both restaurants and bars, which its adults-only neighbour does not
    Because: dining.restaurant_count, dining.bar_count

Limitations, and what supports them

  • Counts eight restaurants without naming one of them
    Because: unknowns.dining.restaurant_names
  • No kids club age range on a hotel marketed as family
    Because: unknowns.children.kids_club_age_bands
  • No room count and no pool count
    Because: unknowns.rooms.room_count

Who it suits

  • young family
  • multigen
  • teens
  • no car needed

Who it is not for

  • Adults wanting a child-free resort
Because: identity.audience_class = family – the adults-only option is the hotel at the same address
  • Parents who need kids club ages before booking
Because: unknowns.children.kids_club_age_bands – no kids club age range is published at all
  • Travellers who want to know how many pools they are getting
    Because: unknowns.pools.pool_count
  • Anyone who wants a firm mandatory-fee total in advance
    Because: fee_position=not_published_by_operator

What the operator does not publish

We checked the official source for each of these and it was not stated. We have not filled them in from anywhere else:

  • room count
  • airport distance
  • pool count
  • kids club age bands
  • restaurant names
  • mandatory fees
  • exclusions notable
  • beach type
  • step free access notes

Prices

We do not publish prices for this resort yet. We only publish a price when we can state the amount, what it covers, the basis it is quoted on, and when we observed it.

We have no affiliate relationship for Hotel Riu Palace Aruba yet, so this is not a tracked link and we earn nothing from it. When that changes, this page will say so and the disclosure will appear above it.

New resort profiles, when they are actually verified

We publish a resort profile when we can source it, not on a schedule. Six are currently on hold because the operator will not let us read its own website.

This form is deliberately inactive. No email provider is connected, so nothing would be stored or sent, and we will not collect an address we cannot yet honour.
