An adults-only hotel of 589 rooms inside the Barcelo Bavaro Grand Resort, eleven miles from the airport. It is the only property we document that states plainly that children are allowed in the facilities it shares with the rest of the complex.

The sentence every adults-only resort should print
Children are allowed in the facilities that are shared with the rest of the complex establishments.
That is the operator’s own wording, and it is the only time we have seen it published anywhere.
Barcelo Bavaro Beach is adults-only. It sits inside the Barcelo Bavaro Grand Resort with Barcelo Bavaro Palace, its Premium Level wing and a Family Club. Guests here have access to all the complex’s facilities — and so, the operator says plainly, do children.
Across our coverage we have repeatedly had to write that an adults-only hotel inside a family complex does not publish how the separation works. This one does, and the answer is that for shared areas there isn’t one.
That is not a criticism. It is the disclosure that lets you decide.
