Resorts that publish accessibility information
The criterion, stated first
A resort qualifies if its operator publishes a specific, checkable accessibility fact: a count of accessible rooms, a statement about level access, or a named limitation. Four qualify. Vague assurances of accessibility do not count.
Commission plays no part in this order. We hold no affiliate relationship with any resort listed here, and when we do, it will be disclosed on this page and it still will not change the order. How we make money.
Occidental Papagayo – Adults Only
The first adults-only resort in our coverage to publish an actual minimum age: 18. It is also the first Costa Rican property to publish an airport transfer – 9 miles and 25 minutes from Liberia – and it states honestly that its beach has no ramp access.
The catch: Publishes ‘more than 163 rooms’ rather than an exact count, so no room total is recorded
Skip it if: Families
TRS Coral Hotel
An adults-only hotel on the Costa Mujeres strip north of Cancun, built in 2018, with 473 rooms of which 94 are swim-out categories. Five pools, seven bars, white sand and a published lifeguard, 29 km from the airport.
The catch: No published minimum age despite the adults-only designation
Skip it if: Anyone wanting a wholly child-free site
Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort & Spa
A 537-room family resort at Point Lucea, 32 km and about forty minutes from Montego Bay airport, documented from the operator’s own fact sheet dated May 2026. It publishes a full room breakdown by category, white sand, a lifeguard, and 48 rooms with a private pool.
The catch: Pool, bar and restaurant figures are complex totals printed on both hotels’ fact sheets, so this property’s own counts are unknown
Skip it if: Travellers on a short stay
Grand Palladium Select Bavaro
A 506-room family hotel inside the Grand Palladium Punta Cana complex, refurbished in 2025 – the most recent refurbishment in our coverage. One swimming pool of its own, and 38 rooms with a private pool or swim-up access.
The catch: One swimming pool for 506 rooms; the offer depends on dine-around and shared complex facilities
Skip it if: Anyone who wants a lot of pool for the size of the hotel
Why this list is short and why that matters
Accessibility is the field where the gap between marketing and evidence is widest. Almost every resort says it is accessible. Four in our coverage publish something you can actually check.
We are not ranking how accessible these resorts are — we have not visited any of them and could not judge that from a document. We are ranking how much they tell you.
Occidental Papagayo — publishes a limitation
Why it is first: “The beach is the only area without ramp access due to the hotel’s hillside location.”
An operator volunteering where its access stops, with the reason. That is more useful than any positive claim, because it tells a guest exactly what to plan around — and it also quietly tells everyone else that the property is on a slope.
The catch: no accessible-room count is published.
TRS Coral — six accessible rooms, level access confirmed
Why it is here: Six accessible rooms in a 473-room hotel, with Level access: Yes and Pool access: Yes both stated on the fact sheet.
The catch: six rooms is not many, and “accessible” is the operator’s own classification, not a standard.
Grand Palladium Jamaica — level access and pool access, one room
Why it is here: Publishes level access, pool access and its accessible-room count.
The catch: the count is one, in a 537-room resort. That is the most important number on this page, and it is only visible because the operator published it. If you need it, book early and confirm directly.
Grand Palladium Select Bavaro — four rooms
Why it is here: Four accessible rooms published in a 506-room hotel, on a sheet that also carries the most recent refurbishment date in our coverage (2025).
The catch: no level-access statement, unlike its sister properties.
What to do with this
Treat every figure here as the start of a conversation. Ask what “accessible” means at that property: door widths, roll-in shower, bed height, pool hoist, transfer vehicle. None of those is published anywhere in our coverage.
What this list establishes is which operators will give you a straight answer, and that is a reasonable proxy for which will answer the follow-up.
Who should ignore this list
Travellers with no accessibility requirements. Note also that a published accessible-room count is not a guarantee of suitability – it is a starting point for a conversation with the operator, not a substitute for one.
Prices
We do not publish prices for this resort yet. We only publish a price when we can state the amount, what it covers, the basis it is quoted on, and when we observed it.
We have no affiliate relationship for this resort yet, so this is not a tracked link and we earn nothing from it. When that changes, this page will say so and the disclosure will appear above it.
