Palladium Hotel Group has added Family Selection, a family-focused accommodation and programming concept, at Grand Palladium Kantenah Resort & Spa in the Riviera Maya, according to the operator’s own property pages. The centerpiece of the new programming is a BRAVO Dinner & Dance Experience: an a la carte restaurant combining live music, family-friendly entertainment and dancing in one evening event. Guests staying five nights or more receive one BRAVO Dinner & Dance experience per room per stay, booked through a reservation made at check-in, and the restaurant operates seven days a week serving international casual dining.

Grand Palladium Kantenah sits in the Puerto Morelos and Playa del Carmen stretch of the coast and is profiled in full at our resort page, with a direct comparison against a neighboring property at Barcelo Maya Caribe vs Grand Palladium Kantenah.

A separate relaunch elsewhere in the portfolio

Separately, Palladium confirmed a renovation of Grand Palladium White Sand Resort & Spa, also in the Riviera Maya, worth a reported 6 million US dollars. Construction began on June 1, 2025, ran progressively while the property stayed open, and the renovated hotel debuted under a new name, Grand Palladium Select White Sand, on January 1, 2026, with a total of 425 rooms starting from a Junior Suite base category.

The rebrand adds White Sand to the Grand Palladium Select Collection, a tier Palladium Hotel Group launched in January 2025 to distinguish a set of properties from the group’s standard Grand Palladium line. Guests at the newly branded property now get a Pool Concierge service, an in-room minibar restocked daily, unlimited access to the resort’s restaurants and bars, preferential rates on the property’s gastro shows, and complimentary room service available for twelve hours a day. That property is not yet in our resort dataset; we add profiles only once an operator’s own published facts meet our sourcing standard, so no page exists for it yet.

Who each announcement actually suits

The two changes point at different travellers, and it is worth being specific about which one applies to a given trip rather than reading both as generic “Palladium news.” Family Selection at Kantenah is aimed squarely at multi-generational or family bookings: the added value is dining and entertainment structured around a five-night-or-longer stay, which suits a standard weeklong family holiday better than a short break. The White Sand rebrand into the Select Collection is aimed the other way, at travellers weighing a premium tier against a standard Grand Palladium stay, where the concierge-level service and daily restocked minibar are the kind of detail that matters more to a couple or a smaller group prioritizing service level over kids’ programming. Booking the wrong one against the wrong trip type is an easy mistake when both properties share the same parent brand and the same general stretch of coast.

Why two separate announcements matter together

Taken on their own, a new dinner package at one resort and a rebrand at another might look like routine marketing. Read together, they point to a pattern across Palladium’s Riviera Maya portfolio: family-oriented programming investment at the family-facing Kantenah property, and a premium repositioning, complete with a new collection tier and concierge-level service, at White Sand. Operators generally do not announce a coordinated regional strategy directly, so this pattern has to be read from the separate announcements rather than from a single press release, and we are explicit here that this is our own reading of two distinct confirmed facts rather than a claim Palladium has made itself.

What we are and are not confirming

As with any operator announcement, the room counts, amenity lists and dates above are drawn from Palladium’s own property pages and from trade and travel-industry reporting on the White Sand rebrand, not from an independent inspection of either property. We hold every resort profile we publish to the same standard: figures an operator states are reported as the operator’s statement, not verified beyond that unless a second independent source confirms them. Travellers considering either property should confirm current package details and eligibility directly with Palladium before booking, since programming inclusions of this kind can change between a launch announcement and a specific travel date.
