The only Negril property we can document, on Norman Manley Boulevard and 80 km from the Montego Bay airport by the operator’s own figure. It publishes a two-bedroom family room and a swim-up suite, and names seven dining venues.

Eighty kilometres, and no drive time
Sangster International at Montego Bay serves essentially all of Jamaica’s resort coast. From there, this property publishes approximately 80 km.
That is the longest transfer in our Jamaica coverage by a wide margin. The Montego Bay corridor resorts publish 2.7 km — about ten to fifteen minutes. Negril is a different kind of arrival entirely.
The operator publishes the distance and not the time. We have not filled in a drive time, because Jamaican road conditions make that a genuinely variable number and a confident estimate would be a guess wearing a suit.
What the distance buys
Seven Mile Beach, and Norman Manley Boulevard rather than an airport corridor. Whether that is worth two-plus hours of round-trip driving is a judgement, and it depends almost entirely on how long you are staying.
On a fortnight it disappears. On four nights it is a substantial fraction of your time.
The rooms are the strong suit
A Family Room with two bedrooms and a sea view, and a Suite Swim-Up.
Both are categories families and couples actively search for and rarely find published by name. Alongside them: a double standard, a garden-view double, and a frontal sea-view double — a genuinely graded list rather than three names for the same room.
Seven named venues
Main restaurant, steakhouse, Italian, Asian, Kulinarium, Pepe’s Food and Tiki Taco. Named, not counted.
Tennis and pickleball courts are published, which is more specific than most activity listings in this chain manage.
The gaps
No room count. No pool count. No bar count. No kids club age range, though RIU Land is named.
Who this is wrong for
Anyone travelling for a few nights, and anyone whose plan depends on knowing how long the drive takes.
