Hotel Riu Palace Antillas

An adults-only 24-hour all-inclusive on Palm Beach, publishing the same street address as the family RIU next door. Every published room category is a junior suite or a suite, and a casino is on site. The minimum age is not published, which for an adults-only property is the fact that matters most.

Two hotels, one address

The operator publishes J.E. Irausquin Boulevard 77 for this property. It publishes the same address for Hotel Riu Palace Aruba, which is a family hotel.

They are adjacent buildings under one brand sharing a plot on Palm Beach. What the operator does not publish is how the site divides — whether the pools are separate, whether the beach frontage is shared, or how much of the property an adults-only guest is actually insulated from children.

For a resort whose entire proposition is an adult environment, that is a significant unknown, and it is not one we can resolve from official sources.

Everything published is a suite

Jr. Suite, Jr. Suite with sea view, and three Elite Club categories including an ocean-front suite. There is no standard double in the published list.

Elite Club by RIU is the named premium tier, with its own rooms, pool and bar. It is the clearest thing on the page about what separates this hotel from its neighbour.

What it refuses to count

No restaurant count. No bar count. No pool count. No room count.

The family hotel at the same address counts eight restaurants and five bars. This one names venue types — fusion, steakhouse, Elite restaurant, main buffet — and leaves it there. Two hotels, one operator, one address, and one of them is markedly less forthcoming than the other.

The age, or the absence of one

Adults-only is stated. The minimum age is not.

On a property sharing a site with a family hotel, that question carries more weight than usual. Eighteen and sixteen are different environments, and so is a site where the two guest populations overlap at the beach.

Worth knowing

There is a casino on site, which is rare across our coverage, and the rate runs 24-hour all-inclusive rather than on service windows.

What the rate includes

Not published by the operator.

What it does not include

Mandatory costs

The operator does not publish a mandatory fee schedule on its official pages. That is not the same as there being no fee. It means we read the official source and found no figure, so we are not going to state one. Confirm any property charges at the point of booking.

Costs that apply wherever you stay in Quintana Roo

Strengths, and what supports them

  • All published room categories are junior suites or suites
    Because: rooms.categories
  • Publishes a named premium tier with its own rooms, pool and bar
    Because: inclusions.premium_tier
  • Casino on site, which is rare in our coverage
    Because: facilities.casino

Limitations, and what supports them

  • Publishes no minimum age despite the adults-only label
    Because: unknowns.identity.minimum_age
  • Counts neither restaurants, bars nor pools
    Because: unknowns.dining.restaurant_count
  • Shares a published street address with a family hotel, and how the site divides is unstated
    Because: location.address

Who it suits

  • couples
  • honeymoon
  • lively
  • no car needed

Who it is not for

  • Anyone booking specifically for a strictly adult environment
Because: unknowns.identity.minimum_age – adults-only is claimed, the age is not published
  • Families
    Because: identity.audience_class = adults_only
  • Travellers who want the resort counted before they arrive
Because: unknowns.pools.pool_count and unknowns.dining.restaurant_count – neither is published
  • Anyone who wants a firm mandatory-fee total in advance
    Because: fee_position=not_published_by_operator

What the operator does not publish

We checked the official source for each of these and it was not stated. We have not filled them in from anywhere else:

  • minimum age
  • room count
  • airport distance
  • pool count
  • restaurant count
  • bar count
  • mandatory fees
  • exclusions notable
  • beach type
  • step free access notes

Prices

We do not publish prices for this resort yet. We only publish a price when we can state the amount, what it covers, the basis it is quoted on, and when we observed it.

We have no affiliate relationship for Hotel Riu Palace Antillas yet, so this is not a tracked link and we earn nothing from it. When that changes, this page will say so and the disclosure will appear above it.

New resort profiles, when they are actually verified

We publish a resort profile when we can source it, not on a schedule. Six are currently on hold because the operator will not let us read its own website.

This form is deliberately inactive. No email provider is connected, so nothing would be stored or sent, and we will not collect an address we cannot yet honour.
