Ocean Signature Resorts has outlined a round of changes for the winter 2026 season, covering properties in Mexico, the Dominican Republic and Jamaica. The details below come from the company’s announcement as reported by PAX News on August 19, 2026, and from a Caribbean Journal report published a day earlier. Where the sources are silent, this article says so rather than guessing.

Ocean Maya Royale, Riviera Maya

The largest set of changes is at Ocean Maya Royale on the Riviera Maya. The resort is adding a climate-controlled lobby, which will matter to anyone who has checked in during a humid afternoon in the Mexican Caribbean. Its food offer is also being reworked, including a new take on the El Charro Mexican specialty restaurant and a revamped international buffet.

On the accommodation side, the resort is adding 12 suites with private pools and introducing a new room category called Elegance, after renovating a significant portion of its room inventory. The announcement does not say how many rooms in total are affected, and it does not give a completion date for each element, so guests booking soon should ask which areas are finished for their travel dates.

Ocean Riviera Paradise

Ocean Riviera Paradise, also in Mexico, is expanding its fitness centre and adding private pools to its Master Suite accommodations. As with Maya Royale, the published material does not specify how many suites will receive the pools or when each will be ready. If a private pool is the reason you are considering a suite, confirm the exact room number or category in writing before paying.

Ocean Blue and Sand, Punta Cana

In the Dominican Republic, Ocean Blue and Sand is introducing a selection of new swim-up rooms. The company describes this as the first step in a broader plan for Punta Cana heading into 2027. That wording suggests more changes are coming, but nothing further has been published, so treat any talk of a larger overhaul as unconfirmed until the operator releases details. For background on how the two main Punta Cana strips differ, see our pages on Bavaro and Arena Gorda.

Ocean Coral and Turquesa becomes Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun

The resort currently known as Ocean Coral and Turquesa in Puerto Morelos will be renamed Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun, effective November 19, 2026. The announcement places it near the Great Maya Reef. Renovations are planned for the arrival experience, the lobby, the restaurants and the guest rooms, with a more contemporary design, and the Privilege section is to be completely reimagined.

A rename is not the same as a new resort. The announcement does not give a room count, a reopening schedule or any statement about whether the property will close during the work. If you hold a booking made under the old name, check that your confirmation, your transfer and any dining reservations carry across to the new name. It is also worth reading recent guest reviews carefully, because a property mid-renovation can feel different from the photographs. Our guide to resort build and refurbishment dates explains how to judge this.

Ocean Allure Eden Bay, Jamaica

In Jamaica, Ocean Allure Eden Bay joins the Ocean Allure Luxury Adults-Only Collection starting November 1, 2026. The beachfront resort is in Coral Spring, Trelawny, on the island’s north coast between Montego Bay and Falmouth. Caribbean Journal reports that it operated previously as Ocean Eden Bay and was already adults-only before the change, so this is a brand and service step up rather than a switch in who can stay.

According to the announcement, Ocean Allure guests receive welcome champagne, complimentary arrival amenities, Luxury Rituals amenities, premium beverages and personalised concierge service across all room categories. The resort offers an Unlimited Culinary Experience dining concept and 24-hour room service, and Privilege guests get butler service. It follows the launch of Ocean Allure Costa Mujeres. Markus Haack, senior commercial vice president of Ocean Signature Resorts, said the Ocean Allure collection begins a new phase of expansion for the company’s luxury adults-only offer.

The announcement does not publish a room count for Eden Bay, and it does not say how the Ocean Allure inclusions compare in price with the previous product. If you are weighing it against other north coast options, our page on Montego Bay covers the transfer from the airport.

What is not confirmed

  • Room counts for Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun and Ocean Allure Eden Bay.
  • Whether Ocean Maya Royale and Ocean Riviera Paradise are adults-only. The sources do not say.
  • Completion dates for individual renovation items.
  • Any pricing, package or promotion tied to the new rooms.

How to use this if you are booking

Announcements of this kind describe plans, and plans move. Before you book any of these resorts, ask the operator or your agent three things. First, which of the announced items are open today and which are still under construction. Second, whether the room category you want, such as a private-pool suite or a swim-up room, is a confirmed assignment or a request. Third, whether your dates overlap with any renovation window. Keep the answers in writing.

It also helps to compare like with like. A new room category with a new name can be difficult to match against a competitor, so use the published inclusions rather than the label. Our guide to what resort room category names actually mean walks through the usual traps, and the resort fact sheet guide shows which numbers are worth asking for.

Vacation Resort Deals has no booking relationship with Ocean Signature Resorts, and this article is a summary of public reporting, not a review. We have not stayed at any of the properties named, and we will update this post if the operator publishes firmer dates.
