Three restaurants for 264 rooms
Dhoni as the main buffet, Sofia for Italian, and a steakhouse. That is the entire published dining offer, and it is the smallest in our coverage — against eleven at the largest Punta Cana properties.
On a resort you cannot leave, that number matters more than it would anywhere else. A week is twenty-one meals on one island.
The mitigation is real and published: a walkway connects this island to Hotel Riu Palace Maldivas next door. But the access published on the Palace page runs the other way — Palace guests may use the themed restaurants here. Whether it is reciprocal is not stated, and we are not going to assume it is.
Two pools, and the water is the point
A main outdoor pool with a swim-up bar and a separate children’s pool. Two pools for 264 rooms is thin by the standards of the Caribbean resorts we document.
But a Maldives resort is not selling you its pool. Scuba Carib runs the water sports centre, and an introductory scuba session in the pool is included in the rate — a concrete, published inclusion rather than a vague promise of activities.
Overwater, at the lower tier
Junior Suite overwater and Superior Junior Suite overwater, alongside a double standard and a double with direct beach access.
That is the useful structural fact about this island: you can have an overwater room here without buying into the Palace grade next door, and you can also have a standard double, which the Palace does not publish at all.
Family, plainly
Classified family, with RIU Land published. Ages not published, as everywhere in this chain.
Unlike its neighbour, which markets to couples while publishing a children’s programme, this property is not ambiguous about who it is for.
The transfer
Identical to the Palace island: a 45-minute domestic flight to Kudahuvadhoo, then 15 minutes by speedboat.
